Meet Dr. Abboud
Dr. Micheal Abboud is originally from Latakia, Syria. When he was young, he was fortunate enough to spend a great deal of time with two of his uncles who happened to be dentists themselves. He loved observing the various interactions and how they built professional relationships with their patients focusing on the small details of their treatments.
Dr. Abboud graduated from Tishreen University Dental School with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2012. Later, in search of even higher education and a plethora of new challenges he decided to move to the US. When he arrived, he began work as a dental assistant, where he learned and understood the clinical workflow. Soon after passing his dental board exams, Dr. Abboud enrolled at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) in 2019. During his time at BU, he developed a fascination for surgical procedures and comprehensive dental treatments.
After graduating from BU, Dr. Abboud joined Dr. Elkadry at her dental office in Quincy, MA where he learned a lot from her vast experience in the industry. This taught Dr. Abboud how to manage different clinical scenarios. While his passion for surgery continued to flourish, he completed a two-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery, first at Boston Medical Center, where he furthered his knowledge in outpatient oral surgery and then at LSU Shreveport Hospital, which allowed him to get exposure to in-patient services and handling medically compromised patients.
In July of 2022, Dr. Abboud moved back to Massachusetts with his wife, where he currently works. He is very pleased to be giving back to Massachusetts where he received his education, and he seeks to provide the best treatment for all his patients on a daily basis. Dr. Abboud’s expertise includes but is not limited to wisdom teeth removal, emergency procedures, implant placement, and cosmetic treatments.
In his spare time, Dr. Abboud enjoys playing soccer and basketball with friends, though sometimes, after a long week, you can find him relaxing on the couch playing a few rounds of video games. Dr. Abboud loves traveling and enjoys trying new foods and exploring new places.
